Celebrate all things oyster as our annual Oyster Fest returns this Late May Bank Holiday weekend at the Crown & Anchor.
Taking over the waterfront terrace, expect oysters galore — with platters piled high and showcasing prized varieties from around the British and Irish coastline, from Maldon and Colchester to Cape Wrath and Carlingford Lough. Entertainment will keep the terrace buzzing all weekend. Friday we will be kicking off with a Oyster Masterclass with our Head Chef Phyl, trying all things oysters with Tinwood wines. Then we have the lively Pravha Brass Band, and an afternoon of sea shanties over the Saturday and Sunday.
And of course, the competition heats up once again… Will Oyster Rob defend his title, or will a new Oyster Shucking Champion be crowned? The Oyster Shucking competition will be on Saturday – Monday at 4pm each day.
This is one summer celebration not to be missed. Bookings are available for indoor dining, with the terrace open for walk-ins only.
